Harmony Ridge Campground History

In 1963, Ed and Doris Risdon purchased 160 acres of land amidst the rolling hills, mountains and woods of beautiful Sussex County. With a dream of sharing their country lifestyle with others,  they initiated a long-range plan to build Harmony Ridge Farm and Campground.

Today, Harmony Ridge is a family campground with pleasant flower gardens, 3 lakes and activities for all ages. The main building is constructed to resemble a barn structure, with many old farm tools on display. New and interesting items and attractions have been added each year to bring more enjoyment to our visitors. Enjoy the countryside, relax by the campfire and listen to the sounds of the woods and lake. Look for the deer, wild turkey, pheasants, raccoons and other wildlife on our lands. Ride through the countryside enjoying the rolling hills, farmlands and forests. This is a very quiet, tranquil style of life, away from the noise of traffic and the hubbub of city life.
